Dr. Carla Chow BSc (Hons), BVM&S, MACVSc (Small Animal Medicine), MRCVS graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2004. She then returned to Hong Kong where she worked in small animal practice, mainly at the SPCA. She joined 9 Lives in 2007.
Dr Carla completed a post-graduate course in Emergency & Critical Care in 2006 and gained her Membership in the Small Animal Medicine chapter of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (MACVSc) in 2009.
Dr Carla was on the Hong Kong Veterinary Association (HKVA) Executive Committee between 2005-2011, and was actively involved in organizing continued professional education and social events for HKVA members. She has also lectured in China on various aspects of feline medicine on the behalf of the HKVA.
In her spare time, Dr Carla enjoys playing netball and a variety of other sports, depending on the weather! She also enjoys spending time with Hanu, her energetic rescue dog from the SPCA.
From 2012, Dr Carla will be spending her time split between Hong Kong (working at 9 Lives) and the United Kingdom, where she will continue to practice in a variety of small animal and feline clinics. |
